Boa Labo- improvised Light Painting

In 2009, Nicolas teamed up with Light Painter Patrick Rochon to create and perform a series of shows. At the end of their second show in India, as the audience wanted more they decided to do an improvised encore. Above the crowd noise, Nicolas shouted from the stage to the organizer to put on any music; his choice was “Jai Ho” from the movie Slumdog Millionaire. The song was already big in India, but Nicolas and Patrick weren’t really familiar with it (they’d heard it once among many other songs in the context of the movie). Nicolas took the stage with the lights, as Patrick maneuvered the light capture and projection. What resulted was a memorable improvised moment.
